A historical classic from the 2002 all the way to the contact expiration in 2008. FoxBox was launched in the American broadcasting networks in September 14, 2002 as an agreement by the Fox Broadcasting Company and the 4Kids Entertainment causing a dissolvement with Fox Kids. Running for Saturday mornings on the US, the majority of FoxBox's programming's English production was produced solely by 4Kids Entertainment causing some changes and localization edits with some dark anime shows such as One Piece.
Around February 19, 2005, the network rebranded itself as 4Kids TV because the company was responsible for the collection of the programs and the distribution of them. Fox however owns the standards and practices that 4Kids has to obey to make regulations for there program to be suitable for children. Also, 4Kids is a non-union entertainment corporation meaning they use there employees for voice acting rather than professional voice actors such as Tara Strong, Tom Kenny or Mark Hamill because they would require a contract and some actors only work on union projects.
In November 2008, the world of children programming was erupted. After nearly eleven years of English dubbing production and seven years of anime distrubition, 4Kids made a shocking remark. They were concluding at the end of the year. The reason is because of disputes with Fox and 4Kids, as 4Kids had not paid the network for the time lease for some time, while the network was unable to maintain the guaranteed 90% clearance for the block due to affiliate refusals and an inability to secure secondary affiliates to carry the programming. The last programs produced for and aired on CW4Kids Toonzai was Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles with the series finale movie "Turtles Forever" after Nickelodeon bought the rights from the original creators and the last 4Kids produced show to air on public television and the only current produced show to air on the new block Vortexx was Yu-Gi-Oh! Zexal when 4KMedia took over the English distribution, making Yu-Gi-Oh! the longest 4Kids production throughout history. The block aired for the final time on December 27, 2008. In 2009, 4Kids try to revamp as an online network and video on demand service; but they were shut down in 2012 once Saban brought the rights to nearly all of there programming. The only programs they truly own is Viva Pinata, Chaotic and Tai Chi Chasers.
FoxBox (4KidsTV) was a remarkable television block and will be missed dearly.
