Shaman king
Shaman King is a magic/mystical anime series that aires on FoxBox and had a limited time release on 4Kids TV. The show utilizes dark forces and mystical beings such as ghosts and demons. The show is about a boy named Yoh who wants to become the greatest Shaman in the world and he must defeat all enemies before he can become so. Almost every hero carries a Guardian Ghost which they use when there into battle with other enemies.
The series was a hit for fans and had a tremendous cult following with characters such as Trey Racer (Horo Horo), Morty (Masa) and Joco (Chocolove McDowell) who often serve humor to the show. Some characters' voices and dialects were changed prior to the English version. For examples; Rio (Umemiya) was given a Hispanic accent despite his appearance as a 1970s fanatic, though some people often confuse him as a flamingo dancer and Lenny (Ren Tao) was given a distinctive British accent. Joco's jokes often make fun of the Japanese language when ever some one says anything, he says something else in a similar rhyming pattern to the words the other person said. But in the English version, his jokes were more funny and pun-like and sometimes includes Knock Knock Jokes.
Regardless, the series was very popular among children and teenagers despite it's short run on 4Kids TV.
